You have the option to visit will be the Maritime Heritage Museum, interesting from a historical point of view regarding Tivat and the early navy days. We sail into magnificent Boka Bay and we stop for lunch and swimming in Ljuta Bay. We arrive early in the port of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces and pillories. It’s a unique place to see for the position and history. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of many restaurants present in Kotor or onboard. Overnight at dock/anchor, by your preferences.
Suggested visit to Maritime Heritage Museum in Porto Montenegro (1h tour). No transfer needed, 5 min walking. The collection of the Museum is more than 300 exhibits. The collection dedicated to the former Naval Yugoslav base "Arsenal" is located on the ground floor. Visitors can see Austro-Hungarian equipment for ships and industrial mechanisms aged over 100 years. The first floor contains objects related to the training ship Jadran, which is still a functioning ship. Two big submarines can be seen near the Museum. One of them is the Submarine P-821, which has been operated by Yugoslav fleet 1968-1991, its length is 50m. The submarine has been under the water for 726 days.
After breakfast, you can choose a city guided tour of the Old Town of Kotor with a guide in your language. We sail out of the bay in the south direction. Refresh yourself swimming in Dobra Luka Bay and enjoy lunch onboard. Before arriving in Budva we will stop in the popular sandy beach Jaz. You will have the rest part of the day to explore Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, over 2,500 years old. Here are the most beautiful Christian settlements and definitely the most amazing churches in this part of Europe. Dinner out or on board and overnight at anchor or marina in Budva.
We recommend a city guided tour of the Old Town of Kotor with a guide in your language (1-2 hours depending on if you want to include visiting museums). Kotor is a small village surrounded by fortified walls overlooking a beautiful bay. The town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces and pillories. The treasure of this ancient beauty of Montenegro, now a World Heritage Site, however, is the cathedral of Sveti Tripun (St.Tryphon), built-in 1166 and inspired by Byzantine architecture.
After breakfast, we set sail for Bar and stop for lunch in front of Sveti Stefan, a fortified island village. In the past was a favorite hangout of 60’s film stars and royalty like Sophia Loren, Doris Day and Princess Margaret. You can have a pleasant walk from Sveti Stefan to Przno through Milocer Park and a guided visit to Sveti Stefan Island. Before arriving in Bar we stop for afternoon swimming in Maljevik Bay, a small quiet bay. Your evening is free to explore Bar on your own. Overnight at dock.
We recommend a guided visit to Sveti Stefan Island founded in 14 century. (45 min - 1hour). No transfer needed, we will be on anchor in front of the island. Today the island of Sveti Stefan belongs to Aman chain hotel and is close to the public. It is possible to visit only by request or by being their guest in the hotel. In addition is possible, booking in advance, to eat in one of three restaurants. We suggested also walking through Milocer Park, close to the island.
Today, before to leave Bar, you could go for a guided tour of Stari Bar, an old fortified town in the hinterland of today’s city of Bar. In the centuries had been its center, until the city moved down, into the field towards the sea. Today the Old fortress is abandoned and is in ruins. Near there is a market of many souvenir shops. We turn our compass back north with a stop for lunch and swimming in front of Petrovac, in Lucice Bay, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches. Before arriving in Bigova, a fisherman village, we make one more stop for swimming in Traste Bay. Enjoy dinner on your own or onboard. Overnight at dock/anchor depending on you.
Taxi transfer 10 min - This day we recommend a guided tour of Stari Bar (1-hour tour) and Medjurecie Canyon can be 5/6 hours tour depending on you), situated near the southern coastal town of Bar. Medjurecje is one of the most, remote and least visited canyons in Montenegro. Whilst this canyon is less well known, Medjurecje is still able to offer stunning beauty and extremely exciting experience. Options: Hiking or Canyoning, depending on the period of the year is possible hiking through the water. We suggest dinner in a traditional fish restaurant in Bigova “Grispolis”.
After breakfast, we recommend to go inland for a guided visit of Lovcen National Park. After a scenic driving, we arrive at the peak of Mount Lovcen and visit the Mausoleum of Serbian Cyrillic, Njegos. Going down slowly will make you admire the beautiful Boka Bay. We sail out and enjoy lunch onboard in Mirista Bay. Here you can swim and explore the famous Blue Cave, before arriving in the next port, Herceg Novi. Take time out to discover Herceg Novi, far from the madding crowds. Stroll through the empty streets, explore the old buildings and churches, check out the fortress Forte Mare and enjoy the atmosphere and the history. Enjoy dinner on your own or onboard. Overnight at dock/anchor.
Transfer 1h with van - This day we recommend a guided visit of Lovcen National Park and a stop in Njegusi village for tasting local Montenegro prsut, cheeses and other delicacies. You will visit Njegos Mausoleum. This mausoleum, atop one of the highest peaks in , Lovćen National Park, was completed in 1974 to house the remains of Montenegrin poet, philosopher, and icon Petar II Petrović-Njegoš. Inside, visitors will find a 28-ton statue of Njegoš as well as his tomb; the site also has a 360-degree stone viewing circle from which you can see more than half of the entire country. (On clear days, you may even be able to spot Croatia and Albania.) This tour will take approximately 6 hours. Doing this excursion will include also activity taking the stairs to the top (461 stairs).
For our last day, we sail into Boka Bay and stop in Risan Bay for lunch onboard. Risan is famous for the remnants of the classical culture Upon arrival to Perast, stop to visit Gospa od Skrpjela (Lady of Skrpljel), the unique tourist attraction. You can’t miss to visit St. Nikola church in Perast and admire a stunning view from the top. Observe the small but beautiful exposition of the Perast museum, in Bujovic Palace. Tonight, enjoy captain’s dinner onboard. Overnight at dock/anchor.
Transfer 3h with van - This day we recommend a visit to Durmitor National Park. Best known for the Tara River canyon, which has the deepest gorges in Europe, Durmitor was formed thousands of years ago by glaciers. In winter, it plays host to a major ski resort; come summer, it's popular for hiking and rafting. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it reportedly has the largest variety of butterflies on the continent. Here you will visit the beautiful Black Lake and traditional Montenegrin lunch in Zabljak. This tour will take approximately 9h because of this we recommend starting from Herceg Novi early in the morning. Afternoon visit Perast and Gospa od Skrpjela (Lady of Skrpljel).
